Gill Robert
Australian marketing veteran Gill Robert has worked in the Australian music business for 45 years. He has worked as a performer, artist manager, and in every position available in a music company from the warehouse to General Manager.
He was in senior positions at Festival Records during 1971 to 1985, and joined Sony Music in 1986 (formerly CBS Records) as marketing and sales director. In 1990, he was promoted to GM, label division and in 1995 became GM, strategic marketing & new technology.
After that, he became managing director for Country Music Television Australia/Asia Pacific for seven years.
From there he went on serve as a director for Vital Entertainment Solutions, a music and management company. At Vital Entertainment Solutions, he handled the careers of country music artists Beccy Cole and Jake Nickolai.
Gill is currently a Director at Sony Music Entertainment.
